The second chapter “Kiev” investigates an open-air 24-hour public gym in Kiev’s Hydro Park. The gym was erected almost in the 1960's and is frequented by Olympic medalists of the 60’s and 70’s, by professional gymnasts and boxers and by people like you and me. The exercise equipment is “homemade” and the building materials were old military tanks, metal radiators and other heavy household items. The photographs were taken in 2008 and 2009.
